The management of the University of Benin, Uniben has announced dates for the events marking the celebration of the Uniben 2018 C0nvocation and Founders’ Day Ceremonies. This was revealed in a to the public, signed by its Registrar, Mrs. O. A Oshodin.
“The 44th Convocation and 48th Founder’s Day ceremonies of the University of Benin for the 2016/2017 academic session is Scheduled to hold from Monday 19th November to 24th November, 2018.”
The events kick-off on Monday 19th November, 2018 at 9.00 a.m. with an Interdenominational Service at the main Auditorium ( Akin Deko) Auditorium.
Convocation Lectures follows by 11.00 a.m. also at the Main Auditorium (Akin-Deko Auditorium).
Then by 1.00 p.m., Cocktail Party follows at the Pro-Chancellor’s Lodge.
The Presentation of Prizes and Award of Certificates, Diplomas and First Degrees in the Faculties of Agriculture, Arts, Education, Engineering, Law, Life Sciences, Management Sciences, Pharmacy, Physical Sciences, Social Sciences, School of Dentistry, School of Basic Medical Sciences, School of Medicine, Institute of Education and IPAES takes place on Thursday, 22nd November, 2018 at 10.00 a.m. with the Venue been Akin-Deko Auditorium.
Exhibition/Cultural Display takes the stage on Friday, 23rd November, 2018 at 10. 00 a.m.
While the Founder’s Day Lecture follows by 11.00 a.m. , Venue-Akin-Deko Auditorium
A cocktail party follows suit by 1.00 p.m. at the Chancellor’s Lodge.
The Award of Post-Graduate Diplomas, Conferment of Higher Degrees (Masters & Doctorate), Hall of Fame Award and Conferment of Honorary Degrees/Professor Emeritus holds on Saturday, 24th November, 2018 at 10.30 a.m.
at the Akin-Deko Auditorium with Buffet at 1.00 p.m., Venue at the Banquet Hall.
