Second Semester Exams to Begin in 7 Days Time – UNIBEN Senate

It is now official that the second semester exams are to kick off in seven days’ time, which is, Wednesday the 10th of July 2017. The faculties of Education, Pharmacy, Engineering, Life Sciences and Physical Sciences are to start the examinations that same day.

This was revealed in a Newsletter (Uniben Update) signed by AA/PRO, University of Benin, Mr. M.O. Osasuyi.

The newsletter revealed the new and rescheduled academic calendar for the 2016/2017 session as approved by the Senate of the University.

The information revealed by the update on the 2016/2017 school academic calendar includes,

  • 10/07/2017 Examination begins in faculties of Education, Pharmacy, Engineering, Life         sciences, and Physical Sciences.
  • 14/07/2017 CED Examination
  • 30/07/2017 Other Faculties’ Examinations which will last a period of two weeks.
  • 31/07/2017 General Studies Examination
  • 21/08/2017 Schools/Faculties/Institutes/Departments/Boards of Studies meet to consider 2016/2017 academic session.
  • 28/08/2017 Business Committee meets to consider sessional results for lower level for 2016/2017 academic session.
  • 25/09/2017 New students come into residence for 2017/2018 Academic session.
  • 09/10/2017 Old Students come into residence for 2017/2018 Academic Session.
  • 16/10/2017 Lectures resume for first semester 2017/2018 Academic Session.

Students are to take note of the new dates and are advised to refer to their faculty timetable officers to get the exact details on the new adjustments and new dates for examinations.
