JAMB Orders Higher Institutions to End Admission Processes

The Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has directed all higher Institutions within the country to end all matters concerning the admission of Candidates on or before January 25, 2018.

Disclosing this, the Head of Information and media for the body, Mr. Fabian Benjamin made it known that, the directive became necessary as it intends to meet up with its Calendar as earlier planned.

With this directive, any candidate who gained admission into any of the institutions, but is yet to register or is yet to be admitted by any of the institutions should endeavor to make plans towards sitting for the next UTME coming up by March.

According to him, Jamb results are only for a period of one year, after which it becomes invalid.
He further noted that, any changes made to the validity period of the results will be made known to the general public by the body.

It should be noted that, according to Jamb’s Calendar for the year 2018, the UTME will hold within the period of March 9 through 17 while mock exams will be conducted within the first week of February.
