The Faculty of Life Sciences have once again lifted the golden trophy of the Vice Chancellor’s Cup after a one nil victory over the Faculty of Management Sciences. The game was which was played at the main Bowl, Sports center saw both sides play with great dexterity as they tried to secure victory.
From the onset of the game, the Management science Team maintained an upper arm but was unable to get the soccer ball into the net. The Massa team had several opportunities to take the lead but at the end, the smiles of fate was not in their favor, so to say.
But, that did not mean the team of Life Sciences were slack in their play, rather, much pressure was put upon the Massa team and after several minutes of play, the team was able to secure a goal on the Massa’s Net to take the lead in the game. The lead was maintained throughout the game to secure the victory.
Also, after a goalless, ninety minutes of play between the Faculty of Education and Basic medical Sciences, a penalty shootout was taken to decide the winner. At the end, the Faculty of education secured the victory and lifted up the gold trophy for the female football tournament.
The faculty of Education emerged the overall winner of the Vice Chancellor’s Cup as the faculty with the highest number of medals.
