Shootings in Ekosodin: UNIBEN Gate Closed for a Second Time

“Ekosodin back gate “as it is usually referred is on lockdown again after a spree of gun shots at Ekosodin that left Edo Street calm and quiet.

Even a day after the shooting, the gate has remained closed despite the fact that a huge number of students and persons make use of it daily.

As a result, students who take residence at the Ekosodin Community have to take the only available, but long alternative into the school, that is, a journey round the school to get to main gate before any access into the Campus.

There were no reports of injuries or death and the cause of the shooting is as yet unknown to many.

Security has been tightened to forestall and ensure peace and order.

Last year November (2017), the gate was shut down by the locals of the community after its Youth’s chairman was shot.
