Exams, though still a few weeks away, are already rearing its ugly head and making students apprehensive.
The confusion can now be laid to rest with the release of the newly updated calendar for the current session. According to the updated calendar, the first exams are slated to begin September 17th with the faculties of education and pharmacy.
This means that there’s just about six weeks left before exams begin. This may seem far but it’s closer than you think and the earlier you start preparing hard, the better.
Below is the new time table as released by the University after a meeting of the senate which held on the 3rd of August, 2018:
27/05/2018. – Students come into residence for second semester.
28/05/2018- Lectures begin for Second semester
07/09/2018 – Second semester lectures ends.
10/09/2018 -14/09/2018- Revision (one week)
17/09/18 – Examination begin in faculties of Education and pharmacy.
21/09/2018 – CED Examination
24/09/2018 – 05/10/2018- Other Faculties examination (two weeks)
08/10/2018 -12/10/2018 – General studies examination
13/10/2018 – Students go down (end of 2017/2018 academic session)
15/10/2018-19/10/2018 – Schools/ Faculties/Institutes/Departments board of studies meet to consider 2017/2018 Sessional results.
22/10/18 – 26/10/18 – Business committee meets to consider results for lower level for 2017/2018 academic session.
29/10/2018 -02/11/2018 – Senate meets to consider sessional results for higher levels for 2017/ 2018 academic session.
02/12/18 – New students come into resident for 2018/2019 academic session.
06/01/2019 – Old students come into residence for 2018/2019.
07/01/2019 – Lectures begin for 1st semester of 2018/2019 academic session.
